Manuscript Competition
Sponsored by the TSCPA Editorial Committee
The TSCPA Student Manuscript Competition encourages undergraduate and graduate students to address, in writing, those issues that affect the accounting profession.
To be eligible, you must be a non-CPA who is an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in accounting. You must be either attending a Tennessee college or university or, if you attend an out-of-state school, you must be a Tennessee resident.
The topic for the 2010 competition is:
“Why are CPAs important to the financial health of our nation’s economy?”
Manuscripts must be submitted by March 19, 2010. Please see the manuscript guidelines for additional information. Each entry must also include an Author Information Sheet.
The author of the best paper, as determined by the TSCPA Editorial Committee, will be awarded a commemorative plaque and a $900 check to be applied toward the student’s educational expenses. The winning entry will also be considered for publication in the Tennessee CPA Journal. The second place winner will receive a $500 check and the third place winner will receive a $300 check.
