Student Education
TSCPA has a variety of financial literacy programs targeting high school and college students. Its High School Liaison Program provides each high school in Tennessee with a volunteer CPA to speak to students about career options and/or personal finance. TSCPA also offers a personal finance session to high school juniors and seniors who attend its summer Accounting Academy, a four-day program designed to expose students to career opportunities in the accounting profession. TSCPA is currently hosting Financial Fitness Days at college/university campuses throughout Tennessee with volunteer CPAs available to answer financial questions and provide resources specific to college-age students.

Speakers Bureau
TSCPA members recently took part in a special program in partnership with the AICPA that provided speaker training in several different areas, including financial literacy, small business success, accounting as a career and working in the public interest. These “CPA Ambassadors” are available and encouraged to educate Tennesseans about those subject areas through speaking engagements or the media. In addition to the CPA Ambassadors, TSCPA also maintains an extensive bureau of volunteer CPAs with various backgrounds and specialties available to speak to business, community or civic groups on numerous financial topics.

Tax Resources
Each year, TSCPA partners with daily newspapers across the state to offer tax advice and tips to the general public through columns published weekly during tax season. TSCPA also regularly partners with television stations and newspapers across the state during tax season to provide tax advice in a call-in show/hotline format throughout broadcasts or for a specified time period.

Small Business Resource Center
The mission of the Small Business Resource Center is to educate and provide information and resources that would assist small business enterprises.

Find-a-CPA
The directory is a special service on the TSCPA Web site that allows visitors to search for a CPA by a specialized area of expertise and/or their preferred city. Visitors have the option to view more specific information regarding business valuation and litigation services, as well as detailed information on the firm's experience, engagements and credentials in this area. All participants listed are members who have chosen to add their firms to the database.
