| Representative Blackburn sits on the vital Energy and Commerce Committee that oversees health care in
the U.S. House, and knows that health care is one of the most pressing fiscal challenges facing federal and
State governments, businesses of all sizes and the American family.
Representative Blackburn will speak about the most pressing issue before the Energy and Commerce
Committee which is HR 3200, a bill to reform health care. Representative Blackburn is concerned that the
proposal would amount to a government takeover of the health care industry which accounts for 17 percent
of our GDP and impacts every American. |

| Since January 2003, the State of Tennessee has expanded and revised its tool kit of tax incentives
to address the needs of existing businesses, as well as the unique concerns of emerging and green
industries in the state. These expanded incentives have played a major role in the retention of existing
businesses and the creation of more than 179,000 new jobs, $29 billion in new capital investment and
the location of 49 new corporate headquarters in Tennessee. This session will provide an overview of our
tool kit of tax incentives and time for discussion of how these incentives can help both new and existing
businesses in Tennessee grow. |

| Recovery Audit Contractors have gone live and with the authority of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid
Services (CMS) to search out alleged Medicare reimbursement discrepancies, recover monies and collect
a nice contingency fee. Ken will review the recent regulations promulgated by the CMS as they apply to
RACs and provide an update on the most recent activities of Connelly Consulting, the RAC for Region C.
Teresa will review the HITECH Act and its implications for Covered Entities and their Business Associates.
Wayne will touch on the upcoming “Red Flag” program requirements. No later than June 1, 2010, many
types of businesses will be required to have in place a “Red Flag” program designed to identify and
respond to potential indicators of identity theft. This presentation will discuss the types of businesses that
must have a “Red Flag” program, the required elements of those programs, and how covered businesses
are to respond when a potential case of identity theft is discovered. To conclude the session, Tony will
update attendees on the Employee Free Choice Act and possible rule-making measures by the National
Labor Relations Board. |
