Proposed Amendment to TSCPA Bylaws

Dear TSCPA Members:

The following proposals to amend the TSCPA bylaws have been approved by the TSCPA Council for your vote. These changes are intended to enhance our membership approval process and modernize our association. The Board of Directors and Council support these changes and encourage you to approve them.

Proposal #1 - Amends TSCPA bylaws article 2.3 to eliminate the requirement that associate members "work under the supervision" of a TSCPA member.

Proposal #2 - Amends TSCPA bylaws artcile 3 and 4 to change the title of the Chief Elected Officer from President to Chair and change the title of the Chief Staff Executive from Executive Director to President and CEO.

The mail vote will remain open for 60 days of the original ballot mailing (August 1). Adopted amendments will become effective October 1, 2008.
